My BFF Kelly is traveling to Uganda in a few weeks on a mission trip with an organization called Be Free Revolution. The mission of BFR is to help those in vulnerable countries become empowered through education, through education find freedom, and through counseling find peace of heart. Basically, they help others to help themselves. BFR was founded by two local girls that we went to college with whose passion and dedication is very impressive. They make Memphis proud. To find out more about BFR or how you can help visit them at http://befreerevolution.org/ or find them on Facebook.
Last night BFR hosted a trunk show to support their programing at Daniel Shays Salon. At the show BFR staff and volunteers sell handmade jewelry and accessories that are made by women in Kenya and Uganda who are participating in the program. Each piece is unique and they are beautiful!
