The Little Free Library - Harbor Town Edition

The Little Free Library is an adorable concept that is starting to catch on, we even have on here in Memphis!  Basically homeowners or businesses build a lovely little library in a safe place that is accessible to the public.  The idea is that you can bring a book you have already read, and take a new book to enjoy.  It's free and wonderful!  Here is a photo of the Harbor Town library, isn't it the cutest thing?

The mission of the Little Free Library is:

To promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.
To build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity, and wisdom across generations
To build more than 2,510 libraries around the world - more than Andrew Carnegie!

Just for fun, here is a photo of my bestie Kaitlin and her pony, I mean puppy, Pepper Mint Priestley with the Harbor Town LFL:

Fun fact of the day:  Giant George, a great dane, is the world's tallest living dog and the tallest dog ever.  He stands 43 inches talls and weighs over 245 pounds.  His bed is a queen size mattress and he has to bend over to drink from the kitchen facuet.  I think I spotted him one day on Walnut Grove.
